A Bit of History
CAPP was founded in 1985 and was acquired in 1990 by The ServiceMaster Company, a Fortune 500 company located in Downers Grove, Illinois. This relationship provided CAPP with a systems upgrade and continues to provide a strong, financial backing. CAPP operates completely independent of ServiceMaster through their Charlotte, North Carolina office. The company, previously known as CMI, was changed to Capital Asset Protection Plan, CAPP, in 2003 with new headquarters at Charlotte, NC.
