Our Technical Resource Center (TRC) experts are there to assist you in acquisition and repair. Acting as a consultant with you, our TRC staff researches an extensive database of service vendors to further assist you in controlling your maintenance costs. As a CAPP customer, the TRC is available to you free-of-charge for your technical support needs. Utilizing an extensive, service vendor directory that consists of a network of consulting experts and specialists, service history on specific equipment, parts locating and price verification information, and preferred provider status, our research staff is ready to refer you to top-notch providers of maintenance service and parts upon your request. CAPP has tracked hundreds of thousands of repair events, parts and equipment prices to ensure you have the most detailed information at your fingertips. Each repair event is broken down by equipment type, manufacturer and model, allowing our TRC staff to assist you quickly and completely. Our experienced staff reviews actual service work to help maintain quality control and cost containment. Again, we provide the information you need to make more informed future maintenance decisions, but the choice of vendor is always yours. Our TRC staff is there to offer information and to recommend the most cost-effective resources to meet your equipment maintenance needs. Additional services the TRC provides include loss control seminars, which help you identify areas and techniques where losses can be better managed, and failure history analyses, which give detailed equipment failure and repair history reporting.

Success Stories Customer saves over $8,000 on Toshiba Ultrasound Monitor! The TRC contacted our preferred monitor repair and replacement vendor, and was quoted just $2,500.00 (plus freight) for an exact replacement! The total bill for the monitor was $2,698.01. Toshiba then installed the monitor for $935.00. Our client was quite pleased with the end result!
Customer thrilled with $62,500 Savings on CT tube repair! The hospital's in-house imaging engineer called CAPP's TRC to report the issue and that the manufacturer refused to recharge the detector in the field because of the hazardous gas involved. Replacing the detector part was quoted at $65,000, excluding installation. The TRC contacted an industry leading Independent Service Organization (ISO) and was told the detector could be recharged for $2,500 or replaced if necessary for $10,000! Armed with this additional information, the in-house engineer decided to have the ISO recharge the detector, and the CT Scanner was back in use the next day. When the repair was completed, the TRC received a call from our client letting CAPP know that everyone was thrilled with the repair and the $62,500 (96%) savings!! The equipment continues to operate fully today.
